When should you consult your doctor.
If u have any of the following symptoms, it would be advisable to consult your doctor. The cause may be trivial and may be easily treated, but if it is serious, corrective action can be taken in time.
Chest

1. Breathlessness on such exertion which did not cause this symptom before, or at rest.
2. Pain in the chest, worse on coughing or deep inspiration.
3. Persistent cough with or without sputum.
4. Coughing blood.
5. Persistent hoarseness of voice.
6. Pain in the centre of the chest, arm, neck or throat.
7. Sudden severe weakness accompanied by cold sweats.
Bowels
- Persistent loss of appetite.
- Difficulty in swallowing.
- Excessive thirst.
- Unexplained loss of weight.
- Persistent indigestion.
- Altered bowel habit.
- Persistent or increasing constipation or diarrhea.
- vomiting blood or coffee-ground material
- passing blood from bowel
- black tarry stools
Urine
- Blood in the urine.
- difficulty in urination
- increased frequency or urgency of urination
- passing large amounts of urine
Genitals
- irregular vaginal bleeding
- itching around genitals
Skin
- formation of lumps
- widespread itching
- spots or sores which bleed
- irritation or dryness of the skin
Hands and feet
- sensations of pins and needles, or crawling ants
- numbness
- pain or discoloration of toes or fingers
- painless or painful swelling of feet or legs
Legs and arms
- loss of power
- loss of sensation
- persistent trembling or shaking
- pain, stiffness or swelling of joint or bone
- pain in the calf muscles
Eyes
- pain in or above the eye
- seeing double images
- seeing haloes around objects
- flashes of light
- blurring of vision
- failing eyesight
Hearing
- loss or hearing in one or the other ear
- loss or effective hearing- words not clear
- ringing in the ears
General
- persistent headache
- feelings of despondency, or persecution
- deterioration of memory
- unnatural tiredness
- giddiness
- unsteadiness and tendency to fall
